Just finished rereading and I’ve gotta say… the way Damon just completely switches to a simp halfway through will always be my favorite “plot twist”. #1 favorite book everrrrr, don’t pllllayyy with me. IF YALL HAVENT READ THIS SERIES YOURE MISSING OUT IM SO DEAD SERIOUS

I read the whole series just for Damon and Winters book. I was very grossed out by the other books and by the time I read the others to start this one I was wondering how would even like Damon!
Damon grew on me, his back story made sense for the way he was but still no action justifies it. I like to pretend the previous books don't exist. I love Damon with winter tho.
Speaking of winter, I absolutely loved her. Usually with soft fmcs am like 'meh, wtv' but her?!! She was adorable, gurl just wanted to stay out of trouble. They had sizzling chemistry. I didn't expected this to have forbidden with second chance vibes. It was dark with romance. I loved it for this one, the angst, tension and chemistry. Ufffff!
My problem with the book was the whole threesome and Damon's bond with his sister. Like remove this entire thing and the whole other books, polish it and bam this would BE THE BEST DARK ROMANCE FOR ME. Cuz let's be fr the previous books were no romance books just smut.
The car and dance scenes where AWESOME. I quickly forget what I read but this will be etched on my mind. It's such a shame tho that some parts of the stuff makes the book from being an actual well written dark romance book

I liked it but I think it was overly hyped up going into it. I'm sure if I was younger than my 30s I may actually have a completely different opinion. I can easily set myself back as a teen when reading about younger characters and although this series was fun and enjoyable as it is, people raved about Damon being their favorite and I was hoping for more to get me to completely love him, but it didn't happen. I am happy to get to know his side and see the better version but the boy is traumatized and it would take a lot more than a girl to completely turn over. I enjoyed it enough, it was just very over-hyped and I just feel like there is something missing after all that book which leaves me a little disappointed.

I don’t think there’s any book ever that has better character development and such a complete arch. Absolutely stunning work of art.
