writing was good and so was the mystery/suspense but I predicted the big twist (and the second one) so the story fell a little flat. a gory, dark romance for sure.

I loved this so much. More to come later.

This was my first A. Zavarelli book and definitely not my last. I loved Alessio and Natalia. The way that secrets were slowly revealed throughout kept me on the edge of my seat. It was hard having to put this down and I could not stop thinking about this book long after I was done reading.

Natalia is seeking new employment and despite all the stipulations her prospective employer requires, she will not be scared off. No matter how hard he tries.
Alessio is a deadly man. She knows she should stay away from him because she has agenda of her own.

Drama and mystery, what a wonderful paring. This book was packed full of both and kept me guessing. I was shocked and thrilled at the twists and turns. While there were many things I enjoyed about this book, the most glaring issue was that there wasn't enough development in this couple's relationship. Like one second they hate each other and then they don't.....but not for any good reason. Like nothing had happened for opinions to change. That made it hard to really be captivated by the validity of their relationship.....buuuuut I still enjoyed a good portion of it.

I am pleased to say this book did not disappoint. It has so many elements that I adore - single parent, nanny, virgin hero, a secret past… like ok, sign me up. I was so intrigued by Natalia’s past and it did not let me down. Sometimes I’m like all this build up for what? But I definitely didn’t feel like that in this book. I was honestly a little shocked by her reveal.

Don’t get me started on Alessio. There’s nothing more that I love than a reserved VIRGIN hero. It’s just the certain spice they bring to the story. The intimidatingly handsome killer is a virgin?! Gasp. I love it.

Solid mafia romance!

THIS.BOOK!!
OMG, He may be Sovereign Son but Natalia is Bad Ass!! I kept thinking what is happening. So many oh sh*t moments. I was stressed, excited and scared while reading this book. I couldn't read fast enough to figure out who is really boss Natalia or Alessio? My money was on Natalia. It was an absolute fantastic read. I'm so excited for next book in series!

this was okay.
emotionally unavailable virgin hero with a very cute kid and mute heroine who's kind of a badass. secret society mafia-esque world. some nice twist but all of the mistrust between the main characters started to annoy me a bit towards the end.
