Love the way the story reveals each twist, one by one, at the beginning. Very satisfying as an arc, bring back lots of familiar faces in a way that doesn't feel perfunctory.
medium-paced

Hush as a whole was a bit too ambitious. I barely remember reading it for the first time 8 years ago, and now I know why. It's just... okay. Probably one of the more overrated of the Batman "essentials."

For whatever reason, Loeb wanted to run through Batman's entire rogues gallery. Then there's the
Jason fake out, the Riddler reveal,
not to mention Catwoman is so one-dimensional and the usual chemistry between her and Batman is non-existent.

Jim Lee's art is S-tier. If one good thing came out of all the guest appearances, it's that you get to see him draw all those characters.

Concluding the 12 chapter story of Batmans search for a mysterious villain who is using all of Batmans old foes against him. Having read many Batman stories in recent years I have to say I was really pleased with this one. It may not be my favorite Batman story but it is definitely near the top.

The story is constantly recapping itself and just retelling Batman, everything I already know and aive barely read the comics which must be even more infuriating for real fans. Catwoman is declawed, she's just there as a sex object with zero personality, purpose or ability to fight. Her ass is handed to her constantly. The entire thing is boring.

#9 of the Banman comic marathon and I love what Loeb does but just can’t say this one stuck the landing here. Feels like a few frayed edges left on plot moments that had me asking distracting questions instead of being wholly impressed by the time we got to the end. Still stunning art, and the Batman+Catwoman moments are delightful.

Fantastic entry point to Batman comics. The art by Jim Lee is masterful, and it is a very light, impactful read.

Loved it! The artwork, the story... very good! It would be great to see this played out on the big screen but nearly impossible since it requires all the major players. Loved it! Can't wait to read more of the Hush series....

This was supercool. I absolutely loved it, and while I managed to restrict myself to small portions in the beginning, in the end I gave up and devoured the books in one go.

First of all, the artwork is so fucking pretty. It was one of those cases where sometimes I'd turn a page and be breathless for a moment, because wow. So gorgeous. So even if the story was, I dunno, boring or not to my liking, I would have had a great time just because of the whole look of it.

But the story wasn't boring, and it was exactly to my liking. I was even right about who the villain was! At least sort of. It was a wonderful read - trying to figure out who the bad guy was while at the same time experiencing some sort of emotional rollercoaster ride (Superman! Catwoman! Nightwing! Robin! Jim Gordon! Alfred!).

And with every Batman comic I read I want to read more. It's a good thing there are so many out there *g*

curious to see where this goes

An excellent conclusion to the Hush story. I liked this volume better than the first volume, but it probably helped that this had less outside influences and was much more a Batman comic.

Really loved the dynamic changes between Catwoman and Batman! All the subplots in here and character stories tying together were fun, as well. Plus, the art is just fantastic and vibrant, and a huge treat.
