I was set on giving this book a 4.5 stars, but as soon as I got to part 4 of the book I couldnʻt put it down and in the end it left me in a jaw dropping awe deserving of a 5 star rating. The story was absolutely amazing. It almost felt like game of thrones had a child with pirates of the carribeans. The characters really make this books its own, each character brings their own flare to the story.

Inej, my absolute favorite in this book, is the perfect blend between assassin/ninja and although she's not my favorite assassin I have ever read about, she's definitely a close second.

Kaz, the leader, is probably one of the biggest narcissist I have ever read about. He cares only about the money his jobs will pay him and his reputation among the Ketterdam, but he also has a soft side.

Matthias, witch hunter, honestly heʻs annoying in my opinion and his redemption towards the end of the book was a little predictable.

Jesper, Sharpshooter, is a character I did not expect to like as much, but heʻs funny and flirtatious and almost too smart for his own good.

Nina, Grisha, I look forward to Ninaʻs chapters because her powers are so interesting, and that ending! Wow! She also really gives me Scarlett witch vibes which I am not complaining.

Wylan, Tech support basically, is also another character I did not think I would like so much, but heʻs charming, witty, and a real team player.

I wasn't planning on reading the second installment so soon, but now I have to because I just canʻt go on without knowing what happens next. Crooked Kingdom review in the near future.

A while back I watched the show Shadow and Bone, I really liked it but had no idea that it was an adaptation from a popular book series. I absolutely loved the show so tried reading six of crows, (I was a bit sceptic about reading the shadow and bone trilogy because the plot of Six of Crows interested me way more.) And I am so happy I did. The book is amazing! Great characters that make you really infested and a great plot line.

Kaz and Inej were so frustratingly fun to read about, you want them to get together and talk about their trauma but it wasn't annoyingly done. It was just enough misunderstanding that it got annoying and boring. And that one chapter where he said he wanted Inej and Inej told him she'd only take him without his armour. oh lord.

Nina and Matthias were so much more fun in the book than in the show because of Matthias not being imprisoned. I liked how Matthias didn't immediately like Nina again after coming out of prison but only accepts her when she explains why and shows how dedicated she is when she took the drug at the end of the book. She truly loves Matthias and I am so excited to read Crooked Kingdom to see how they evolve as a thing maybe

Wylan and Jesper my boys. They were so cute in the show and I really liked them in the book too! Even though their storyline isn't as romantic as in the series, they were so fun to read about. How Jesper first kind of hates him and how he slowly learns more about him and accepts him in the 'family' absolutely heart warming! I love Wylan's character so so much he is so unapologetically himself and he is so sweet. I felt really bad when his father exposed him to everyone and that he heard everything. Even though that was the plan it still hurt.

The plot was intriguing and genuinely kept me on my toes. The heist was great and with actual high stakes and I cannot wait to read Crooked Kingdom!
