Although I did really enjoy this, I think I would have enjoyed it more had I been more in the mood for it. I'll definitely revisiting at some point. I really loved the atmosphere. I adore claustrophobic horror like this and I think underwater settings are so fun. They're one of my favorites. With all that being said, while reading, it felt like some parts just dragged on. And I really think that's just because I wanted to be done reading it and I didn't read it as quickly as I'd expected. I absolutely loved the ending though. This truly was a really fun, claustrophobic read.

I honestly didn't enjoy this novel. Like so many people here I felt the premise interesting but everything else is just boring. From the mad scientist caricature, to the endless ramble on flashbacks. At 50% I just wanted this to be finish because I couldn't care less for anyone.
Bear in mind that the premise was interesting.. what a disease that makes you forget, first small things and then some major things etc but on this tale at 50% there was nothing so far. I am not saying that by the end there is some information BUT it took so much time to build up.
I've read two of his novels, one was a miss and one was very good. So this is not the end for him. 3 Stars
