I wish I read it in a single sitting but the prose was absolutely stunning and loved how grief manifests itself in so many different forms in the novella

This took me a while to read (my fault, not the book), but I really liked it. Super creepy climate horror novella, with metaphors for grief and musings on identity and connections to culture. If your brain is cooperating it should be a quick read for you because itโ€™s just over 100 pages ๐Ÿ˜Š

Tiffany Morris has a great writing style. The structure centered around the paintings descriptions was a great addition.

A reflective, slow burn, atmospheric eco horror novella. The prose is poetic and the narration feels a lot like a collection of essays on grief and different aspects of it - grief over the lose of a parent, grief over a loss of cultural memory, heritage and community, grief over climate catastrophe. It depicts that heaviness of helplessness and depression, and lack of drive and purpose.
