There are not enough amazing words to describe just how much I absolutely loved this book from beginning to end!! Hands down my favorite of the series! It was so fast paced and had me gasping and yelling at my kindle the entire time! This series will go down as my Roman Empire! The storyline is just so damn good!! I absolutely LOVE Ari and Saga! She’s come so far in the last 2 books and her growth into the Raven Queen is perfection! Ari is this character that has such wit and makes me laugh but is also so strong and steadfast! I love him!
Spoiler!!!!
Justice for Hodag 😭😭😭😭😭😭 omg I was not ready for her untimely death!! She’s been one of my fav characters throughout the series and she was gone.. so fast! I miss her!!!

Ari might be my favorite!! Love their part in this series so much
I didn't expect to like this so much. I know I'm late to the party on LJ Andrews and this beautiful series. I started with the Ever King duology and those characters are still my favorite, but immediately knew I was going to go back and start the entire thing. I have enjoyed every book. Now there are some repetitive turns of phrase she uses that drive me bonkers (why can't anyone ever be startled, shocked, aghast, anything but stun?). Many authors have these words or phrases that they tend to lean on, and I can let that go.
Unexpectedly, Ari and Saga are somehow my favorite of the "senior" set. The mental health and neurodiversity representation in these books just keeps getting better, and the handling of the darker topics is impressive. Don't sleep on these books - the journey is long but so good. Onwards to book 9!

The closer we get to the end of The Broken Kingdoms, the better it gets. Someone might say nine books are too much, but trust me, that's not the case. And I'm so happy the story will continue with The Ever King, because I do not want to leave the world LJ Andrews has created.
I realized about 3/4 into this book that I kind of messed up, because I stopped reading this series before the last three books and instead I read The Ever King which is a spin off set years in the future and is also a way more entertaining story. When I resumed this series I just could not get invested. But the sequel to Ever King wasn’t out yet so I came back. That being said, I may have enjoyed it more if I had gone straight through. While I did like it, I really struggled my way through. The plot was all over the place, and so much was going on, so many new and old characters joined in, my brain kind of checked out at times. This story was…a LOT. I am still trying to figure some things out. And there is still one more book and I know I should read it to complete everything, but the sequel to Ever King is out now and I care more about that one. It is what it is.
