Pros: 
    •    Zhen. I really really liked him and his massive heart, his desire to not do any harm and to deserve the life he was living 
    •    the first little meet cute made me so happy 
    •    I called half of the twist but not all of it! I always enjoy when the author can pull a little something over on me 
    •    I'm a sucker for C-dramas and this very much reads like one so it was a little nostalgic for me 
    •    the ending is so sweet 🥺

Cons: 
    •    the writing does feel a little choppy 
    •    Xian I didn't like as much as I wanted to, he felt a little flat and a little cruel at times
    •    the pacing felt a wee bit too fast for me especially because of the
    •    insta love/lust. Like holy shit so fast lmao it's been TWO WEEKS boys chill 
    •    as cute as the implied romance between Feng and Qing is, I don't think it needed to be there, I really liked the idea of Feng as aro 
 
Overall: 
this was cute and sweet, but I did waffle a little bit between 3.5 and 4 stars because I do think the pacing was pretty rough and I would've liked a lot more detail. Ultimately though, because of the ending, I did end up giving it 4 stars, because I am such a sucker for that sort of thing.

So heartbreakingly beautiful. I think the love story was very sweet and I didn't see the plot twist coming at all. I cried. Overall I had a good time reading it and I wish I had gotten a bit more from the side couple
