This book is a good example of works from its genre. It isn’t earth shattering, nor is it going to bring about a paradigm shift of some sort. But if you’re between books and want something aspiring to be Gladwellesque or Dubnerian, then have at it.

The name of this book is pretty self explanatory (see more info in the description). If you like books like Freakonomics (which inspired the author btw) this one would please you too. I would make it more succinct though.

I really enjoyed this book as it certainly sold the possibilities, the power, and the responsibility of big data. I think the book served well by showcasing the strengths of big data, like in finding doppelgangers and data in areas that have not been researched as well. All the examples were great, especially found the horse racing data interesting.
