The author is very enthusiastic about her subject. She does a good job of combining science and story. Some takeaways: moderate exercise for 20-30 minutes can give endorphin spike, exercise with others, in nature, and to music all have added benefits. Exercise that has specific challenges to overcome can lead to mastery experiences with far reaching benefits.
I really enjoyed this book. It started a bit slow and repetitive and redeemed itself with inspiring stories about community, nature, joy and hope all revealed through moving our bodies. No better reasons to find some friends and go for a hike!
