It took me nearly a month to read this book, except I didn’t so much as read it, but it passed me by. Everyone in this book is awful. It is dripping with antisemitism and misogyny and I just wanted it to end.

this was...alright as far as the thematic qualities of beauty and hedonism were slightly lost on me, though I did particularly enjoy the way Lord Henry's dialogue was written, which makes him perfect for witty banter. Dorian's development as a character was also particularly interesting, especially when posited with the lack of consequences, thus framing this as a critique on art, aestheticism, morality and the nature of love. i'd compare this directly with American Psycho which also addresses similar themes in a modern setting
this is actually peak writing. author is such a wonderful writer. found myself taking pictures of a lot of lines in the book. philosophical and insightful
