I’m so sad I’ve come to the last Hawkeye graphic novel until the next comes out. Starting with the four volumes by Matt Fraction, these drew me in and they are among my top favorite books. So excited to see Kate and Clint reunited and can’t wait to read the next volume. 😍
have i mentioned how much i love kate bishop? i loved seeing the wolverine(s) cameo and also clint showing up much later (which makes me want to go back and read his series so i can look out for kate). i’m a sucker for non-powered characters and was glad that kate - thought slow as it may be - is coming to terms w and exploring that part of herself !!!
I JUST WANT KATE BISHOP TO KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE HER
Everything she's in is consistently good :'))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

I seriously love this series. Now that Kate is more settled in her new surroundings, the big plot is unfolding- this trade sets up a new quest, and it involves delving into Kate's family. It's incredibly satisfying to finally bridge the gap in her background, so now as a reader her motivation is very clear. It makes you root for her even more.
Anyway, Kate is great in this trade. Determined and angry, but still quippy. The writing is just so good, continuing the Hawkeye style from Fraction but still finding new ways to surprise you, and always staying true to Kate. The team-up with Laura and Gabby was almost everything I could have asked for. It's books like these that make the marvel universe still feel real.

I love Kate Bishop, the expressive art, and the growing exploration of Kate’s super messed up family, but the story felt oddly rushed in places, and sometimes the action sequences didn’t seem to flow right.

Kate Bishop is back in the hot seat and it just reminds me of Clint's Hawkeye series in both tone of story and art style that I couldn't help but laugh and just think "aww, no" at different moments.
Picking up right after Vol.1, this one sees Kate and the gang taking on a new case that has close ties to her family and brings up a hard some hard questions for Kate which I want to know where it all leads to.

Kelly Thompson is a great new voice in comics at the peak of her powers in Hawkeye. By taking the title character to the west coast you pull her away from decades of plot lines and continuity and Thompson is able to craft a world that feels steeped in old Hollywood but still fresh and new. Thompson gets Kate Bishop's voice better than anyone else I've read and and the artwork has a kind of soft focus with the high end graphic design touches that made Matt Fracton's Hawkeye so remarkable. This is really special.
