Such a good book
This was my first read by alexis winter and it wont be the last! This was such a good read i enjoyed every minute of it! This was legit like a hallmark Christmas movie (except this book aint PG)

This short story is about Damon and Kate and their Christmas to remember. This is a second chance, enemies-to-lovers romance centered around a wealthy boss and his assistant.
Kate flowers have had one hell of a morning. She is running late, her car breaks down, and her boss Damon Wells threatens her job.
Damon is a jerk, but he doesn't do it on purpose as he really likes her. An accidental bar meets up, and soon he will go home with her to her family. Just wow.
This story gets both Damon and Kate's perspectives. The banter in this book is fabulous, funny, and sassy, with a little bit of flirty. This book gets steamy as this couple discovers the fire between themselves. Will they last, or is this just for the holiday weekend?
The ending of this story is so sweet and unexpected. I love the happy ending.

A Very Bossy Christmas is an enemies-to-lovers, fake-relationship, office romance novella filled with holiday cheer. The strength of this story relies on the fact that Damon and Kate knew each other. So it wasn't the typical insta-love short Christmas novella.
Damon has been Kate's boss for three years. He is cocky and a jerk and enjoys being mean and treating her like crap. Damon ruins Kate's plan to go see her family for the holidays. He feels guilty when he realizes what he has done and decides to drive her to her hometown. And, on a whim, he decides to pose as her boyfriend. Kate, on the other hand, is still suffering because her family continues to put her ex Chad on a pedestal. So she reluctantly accepts Damon's idea of being in a fake relationship.
But many issues could have enriched the story had they been developed better. For instance, the reasons why Damon's doesn't celebrate Christmas. His background is in fact moving, but it was rushed. Also, why Damon's treats Kate's like crap suddenly is supported by love. Like, what? Rushing some of these things make the story weaker. I'm not convinced more pages would have made this better. It had potential, but it didn't work for me.

Totally fun story! Enemies to lovers with a side of fake dating. I really loved it.

These two had some seriously spicy chemistry and I really enjoyed how they interacted with each other, both when they hated and when they liked each other. They both had some personal growth in the story, and I really felt like I cared for and was invested in these characters.
This is definitely a book I would recommend!

Delightful Christmas romance. Easy and quick read. Bosshole and sweet/sassy FMC. Miscommunication, relationship of convenience/fake dating, and idiots-in-love tropes.
This was just fine. It had so much potential but it needed to go through a few rounds of editing. The way the FMC’s eyes were described as being blue early on and then suddenly they were green? 💀
