I thought the magic systems in this book were great, different to anything else I’ve read. But I found the remainder of it kind of boring… it definitely had a lot of pressure on the MC’s but I just couldn’t find a lot that I liked about the characters or stories

I have to stop falling for pretty book covers. I expected so much more from this book and was disappointed. I loved the idea behind this book the seasons being people. But there was no character development, no differences in personality. Just not what I was hoping for. I don't even want to start the second book, probably won't to be honest.

Mi aspettavo di più da questo romanzo! Infatti l'ho trovato a tratti lento e prevedibile.

I genuinely love this book. The world building could’ve been better, but like most great books, the ending held the passion. I loved the fact that this was a unique story and in YA that is hard to find. The epilogue read like a coming of age movie end scene and that fit the book’s vibe perfectly.
This book made for a great start of the year for me!

This was just not good, I tried and stuck with it as much as I could but this was just god awful! Theres literally no connection with the characters, no true understanding of what’s going on, there’s the Big Gods of chaos that started all of this but they really aren’t a focus, so like why! The rating is for the intention of what the author was trying to do just the execution didn’t make it.

From the beginning you’re just thrown into this world with no explanation. I guess you’re just supposed to go along for the ride and things get answered…but that doesn’t really happen. I either need fantastic characters or a great world building but when you don’t really have that it’s hard to really focus on the story.

Again, the synopsis telling us this world revolves around the seasons and there’s a gut wrenching love story intertwined had me completely excited! It just wasn’t that at all.

My main complaints are that the magic system seemed overcomplicated and poorly explained and the romance between Jack and Fleur is lackluster. Maybe it's because they don't have many scenes together that it just doesn't seem believable.
