How Amber does it EVERY. DAMN. TIME. I will never understand. But i am broken and empty until Book 4 comes out. I swear to the gods above if Sami and Dianna are taken from me I will riot.

Are you freaking kidding me right now!!!! The last 11 chapters had my heart racing and I am NOT KIDDING!! This is clearly not the last book in series but idk how much more my heart can take! I’m trying really hard for this to be spoiler free bc I don’t want to ruin it for anyone but am I alone in this!??? I’m gonna have to come back to finish this review spoiler free! lol

Ok I’m back. Dianna is absolutely one of my favorite FMC! She strong and fierce and protects those she loves. And we’ve all seen what she does for those she loves! She went through moments of insecurities which IMO I understand. Everything she had gone through BEFORE Samkiel is trauma but I don’t think we will see it anymore. Her scars run deep but I think after everything her and Sami have gone through she’s healed. She’s embraced everything about herself and she now knows Samkiel is nothing like anyone else. She now sees he will burn world for her and her for him.

I did not see this ending at all and with Death and Fate now intervening I am nervous for our couple especially after Deaths comment to Reggie. That’s all I’ll say about that.

The spice in this book was kicked up a lot. Maybe sometimes as fillers but that’s just my opinion ☺️. I really enjoyed the multi POV - Kaden, Isaiah, Camilla, Vincent, Reggie, and even Miska - and of course Samkiel and Dianna. It gave me a different perspective as to why they are the way they are even though I still don’t like them!

I enjoyed the new relationships blossoming and new (and old) characters introduced in this book and can’t wait to see how it’ll all fit together in the next book, which tbh I didn’t think would happen. I thought this was the final in the series but man was I wrong! lol.

I thought this was a trilogy, so I had a rude awakening when there were heaps of loose ends in the last hundred pages. Part of me is glad there is a fourth but I really hope that is the last, as I don't think this story has the depth to go any further. Moving onto the plot, I enjoyed it but not nearly as much as the first and second. I think it is more a personal preference...
Them being separated from everyone else, getting married and having to remain hidden felt like a more intense version of what has been happening for three books now. I am someone who does not find marriage romantic, so that was a vibe killer for me.
Otherwise I liked the ending and am excited to see what happens moving forward.

Love is Power!

I loved this book, it never once bored me. Dianna and Samkiel once again are goals. This was their book. The love they have for each other is one of the best I have ever read in fantasy. (Better than Rowan and Aelin)

The side characters and side romances were just as good. I usually hate multiple POV's but every other character POV added something to the story. I'm rooting for the other couples despite all the odds. Also the pacing was perfection. Every time I thought a long scene/chapter was going to bore me the author just skipped right to the good part.

Ending was insane! I did not expect that at all! Very unpredictable. The only issue I have with this book is I think the world building is just too large. What even is a realm in this context? A collection of planets? Not once did I understand where the characters where located?

This book truly came alive through the little snippets we got of the side characters - the romance, the drama, the backstories, and the moral greyness… ugh, I loved every single one of them. I can’t wait for the fourth book in the series!
