Audiobook is not the vibe for maxims. A classic Chinese text turned into a business bible that has some interesting points about leading, but history has certainly shown that not all of the theories of this book hold true in practice.
It may not be what we have come to love about Bertrice Small, but it is a good read. I read this as a teen, and for some reason the story has always stayed with me. Though harsh at times, the emotion is there and easy to fall in to.

Pretty much required reading; hard not to appreciate a book that's still relevant after a couple thousand years. Most of the advice still makes sense today.
I had the Folio Society edition of the book, which goes into great detail about the canonical text and what has changed over the years. The extra detail here was pretty dry.

Mi ha colpito trovare in questo testo molti "piani di lettura". Diverse delle brevi sentenze che compongono questo saggio sono applicabili a diversi altri ambiti della vita e sarebbe molto limitante applicare tali dettami alla sola materia bellica.
Lo stile è totalmente conciso, la trattazione è portata avanti quasi per aforismi, ma non mancano anche figure poetiche, molto gradite. Inoltre, è interessante notare come possa risultare per certi versi attuale un testo scritto circa 2600 anni fa. Forse perché noi esseri umani, nonostante tutto, siamo sempre gli stessi.

This will be one of my favorite books for a long, long time. I loved the way it was written, loved the content it had, everything entertained me so much, I had a blast reading it. I read it at what would be considered super fast for my slow a**. I also believe I've learnt a lot from it.
Overall 10/10 would read again. I probably will, it was a very easy read. I already lent it to someone because they also found it interesting. Just great stuff. Plus, the specific edition I have, the book is just gorgeous. I've wanted to read The Art of War for a long time, and when I saw the beautiful book on the shelves at the bookstare I HAD to buy it.
