All of Us Villains is compared to the Hunger Games, yet there is so much more to it. With a much more limited cast of characters and multiple POV's, this story gives a different view to these sort of '"competitions."
With reluctant participants and those raised to kill from birth, the dynamic between all the characters was intriguing and complex. I enjoyed the characters a lot, although I would've like to see them a lot more villainous for a book titled All of Us Villains. This could just be because this is a YA book, but overall they were still fairly ruthless and prepared to do what they needed to win. I did really love them though and I can't wait to learn more about them. Alistair Lowe had my heart from the beginning, with him being morally grey and ruthless and protective.
The world building developed using sections from the tell-all book incorporated into the story was a unique and creative aspect that I thoroughly enjoyed. Each chapter started with a sentence from the book explaining different aspects of the tournament which helped avoid an information dump.
I hadn't realised this was a series but I'm excited for the next one. This seems to be a consistent theme for me.

This is more 3.5 ⭐️The beginning was tough. I understand to fully grasp who everyone is, what their stake is needs time, I was just ready for the challenge to start, and it took to 60% to finally get that. However, the ending had me nonstop listening and now I'm ready for the 2nd book.
So so incredibly good. I was immediately sucked into the world and could follow the plot with ease. I loved the characters and the development of their stories. Can’t wait to get my hands on the next one!!

i enjoyed this book for the most part! Only real i guess qualm would be I did think there’d be a lil less remorse from some characters like hunger games but I guess when you only have 7 competitors you can’t really go on a mass kiIIing spree.. anyways i will def be buying the 2nd book whenever i end up at the book store
