Mehhh... Not what I was expecting. Others may love it but not the FEEL I thought I was gonna have. Marcus reminded me too much of Holden Caulfield.
This is one of those rare moments when the art style and the writing just blends seamless.
Beautiful illustrations with a very intriguing story! Along with unique and varying characters that are all morally gray.
Marcus is a street kid that is on the run from the cops one night. He receives some "help" from a girl and she takes him to a very special place.
A school that isn't just the ABC's.

Marcus doesn't have a whole lot of choices in life. He can either go back on the streets or sign up to become Assassin Kid. He goes with Assassin since all he wants to do is kill Ronald Reagan anyways.
Once in the school he finds out that typical teenagers are everywhere.
Mean kid cliques.

Normal class assignments:

Then he finds himself on a drug filled road trip to kill one of his new friends daddy.
Typical teenagey stuff right here.
Then throw in a sorta lovey triangle and LOTS of stabby!

Pure goodness.
Booksource: I was gifted a copy of this book from my Goodreads book fairy. Thanks Ms. Fairy!

I'm not sure about this one. I didn't dislike it enough to stop reading it, but I also don't want to read any more of the series.
V fun but tbh I only know like 2 characters’ names
Also !! I feel like u can make a character a rough bully guy ™ without so many homophobic slurs

This was a really nice break from final crisis which is the weirdest book I’ve ever read and I have no clue what’s going on so it’s nice to read something that isn’t gibberish to me.
The book is awesome, the story is great, the characters are cool and the art is unique and awesome. The colouring is different but it fits.
Marcus is cool, he’s nowhere near perfect but is cool to read, willie and saya are also really good characters.
My only problem was that there was no story focus but other than that the book was pretty good
Overall cool book

3.5 stars! So trippy and weird, not that much story to it but it was intense.
