The main character was very annoying and while I love the premise of a sheltered lady being interested in crimes and solving murders where her naivety about the world causes her problems they just did not write her well and I actively rooted against her. I also didn’t like setup that may have resulted in her being with one of the other characters. I didn’t read enough to see if it would happen but the baiting annoyed me anyway.
This truly is Agatha Christie meets Jane Austin meets Knives Out. While it drags in parts, the wonderful parody’s had me dying with laughter. If you don’t take it too seriously, you’ll love this book.

A delightful mystery novel set in an egregious polite society.
I found that I hated the society more duly then in Jane Austen novels, but I did come to appreciate how the author used it as a tool for comedy in the end, instead of a crushing weight of propriety. This story features bipoc and queer characters, and I cant wait to see the fan art.

It's light, fluffy, and absolutely ridiculous. At times it felt like the silly dial had been cranked up a few notches too far, and there were so many reveals that the mystery got lost. There was so much going on.
If you're not in the mood to watch Monty Python, maybe don't pick this one up. But if that's your vibe, read on my friend. It's a wild ride.
