It was almost too corny to finish.

This book put me to sleep multiple times, I thought going into it that it would be just a cozy murder mystery, had I known it would take every cliche from Jane Austin to Charlotte Brontë, I probably would have stayed away. I understand that it’s supposed to be tongue-in-cheek humor but it’s way too corny for me. Also the rhyming was ridiculous, most of the book was just whatever, go with the flow but that was genuinely getting on my nerves. If you are going to read it, just know not to take it too seriously.

This was one of the funniest things I've read in a while!

To make my review short and sweet: think Pride & Prejudice combined with the film Clue combined with a parody-style comedy. It's delightful. Such a great read.

I mean you can't go wrong with a multi-purpose escape hat!
mysterious

A rather quirky and quaint regency murder mystery with a touch of magical realism. Think Persuasion meets Maisie Dobbs meets Princess Bride.
