AHH as soon as i’ve finished ‘queen of quarantine’ i was hoping there would be a book about niall, i’m literally so HAPPY knowing there was one i legit went straight into this book without knowing theres another person involved with them?? I MEAN yes in queen of quarantine he mentioned a guy in the basement as well but i thought he was just some random guy but MATEO? holy shit i’m in love with them both, can’t wait to see more of hellfire and dead man in the second book!

This book was incredibly disturbing but also hilarious. I mean it’s dark for sure, the characters were fun and enjoyed learning more about them. I really wanted Mateo and Niall to just get over themselves at multiple points. That cliff hanger was brutal so onto the next!

What didn't I love about this book. I instantly loved Brooklyn and her unhinged but positive outlook. The insane clothing and wild thoughts.
Matteo, what a Dead Man. He was so stoic and strong, even though he tried to come across as a monster.
Oh and let's not forget Niall. Hellfire is widower with so much guilt who just made me feel and laugh (fellow widow here) but the absolute insanity out of him.
100 will read again

I've loved every books I've read for these ladies.
I was so curious about the death games girl (brooklyn/spider/little psycho) and Niall during KoQ but i needed to wait for the second book in the duet to be released because i hate to wait of a cliffhanger. Book one was great. Love how crazy and dysfunctional this trio are.
Brooklyn really reads like a little girl in many ways but obviously with adult desires and then there is also the killer in her.
I felt a bit annoyed with Niall at times with some of the things he said to her to try to keep her at arms length because she was so child like the things he said where not "horrible" in the grand scheme of things but hurt her alot because she needed his approval so deeply and he was always calling her useless or a disappointment and I felt so sad for her.

Niall was always one of my favourite characters from the Everlake Prep series. He has his own brand of crazy that is random and unhinged, throw in a tragic back story and a handsome face and you kind of have your perfect psycho hit man. Now throw in Brooklyn, who we only saw briefly in the other series. This chick is like an evil, beautiful cartoon villan from Batman who is in Arkham Asylum for life, except she escaped and then got captured in a completely crazy way. And a dash of Mateo, who I just can't ruin for you, you need to unpeel this onion all on your own! This story kind of surprises you at every turn, but you're lost in the internal ramblings of likeable nutters, so you just kind of throw yourself into the turn and hold on. This is crazy fun, with neon paint splattered in amongst the blood!

Favorite quote: “I’d always wanted to kill a Lionel. There was something about that name which just screamed evil overlord to me, and I felt it was best to rid the population of them just in case they ever tried to rise up and rule the world like some kind of megalomaniac dragon king.”
