If you’ve ever fangirled over a band before, this is that dream scenario you’ve always wanted. How many times did I wish to be at a meet and greet and have Harry Styles ask for my number lol. This love story begins when Jax and Liv meet at at a concert for Jax’s band Midnight in Dallas. I really loved the whole cast, the friendships and chosen family relationships portrayed in this book. It’s a fun quick read, but it also talks about heartbreak and learning to love yourself and finding your self-worth. Thank you, @heymelissagrace for the gifted copy of your debut novel, can’t wait to see where your journey takes you.

Also, I’m ready to move to Nashville - and Harry Styles if you’re reading this, call me - I’ll be the Liv to your Jax

- Felt like the emotions of the characters were only really strongly felt/written in the last parts of the book.
- Liv's fertility issues weren't that big of a plotline as I was anticipating and hoping for

*I'm still gonna read the next book in the series because one of my favorite tropes is love after loss (fingers crossed that the next book is about Ella and Cash) and how the supporting characters were written really lift me wanting to know more about them*

This was a very sweet romance between bakery owner Liv and famous rock star Jax. I was a bit hesitant about starting this book with Liv being 8 years older than Jax but it totally worked. They fit together so well and I loved the chemistry between them. ⠀

After a recent divorce, Liv struggled with some things that added a lot of depth to the book. Our swoony hero Jax was exactly what Liv needed. He was caring, thoughtful and selfless. He encouraged Liv to pursue her dreams and got her to start living again. Liv's journey of finding herself and being happy again made me root for her the whole way through.⠀

One thing that made this book so special were the relationships. Liv, her best friend Ella and daughter Grace were like family. As were Jax and his bandmates. Together, the whole lot of them were a fun group who were all there to support each other.⠀

I did feel that Jax fell a bit too fast for Liv. I also missed the steam. Other than that, I look forward to reading the next book in the series.⠀

This was such a cute rockstar romance with an age gap (older woman! We love to see it!). And the donut puns were on point.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

You cannot help but fall in love with Liv the leading lady of Home Is Where You Are, she is as sugary sweet as the delights she whips up in her Nashville based cupcake shop. A recent divorcee in her late 30's Liv has all but given up on love but even more so on the woman she once was thanks to her sleezy ex-husband. Until one faithful night she meets front man Jaxon Slade of Midnight in Dallas when her friend insists Liv come out for a girls night instead of staying home with her feisty cat Mama. The connection is undeniable ... I mean who didn't dream of being swept off their feet by a sexy soulful rockstar!

This is such a feel good book and after the year we've had (bye bye 2020!) we can all use a sweet love story. One of my favourite things about this book is the age of our lady in love. It is refreshing to dive into a book about a mature woman finding love. Melissa beautifully mixes in storylines of hardship and real life issues which tugs at your heart strings. Does the past ever truly stay in the past?

This is Melissa Grace's debut novel and it leaves me really excited for what is to come. I cannot wait to read the 2nd book in this series, I am not ready to let go of these characters yet.

I seriously couldn’t put this book down. The way Melissa wrote just flowed beautifully. I loved this story! Liv and Jax had so much chemistry! Even though this had fade to black romance scenes you could still feel the heat between them. All the side characters made this book too. Everyone was so much fun. And I definitely saw a segway into another book! I loved the way Liv’s character developed and Jax definitely had you swooning! Such a sweet story!
