The creeping tension that slowly builds over the course of this short tale made it a terrifying ride throughout and I think I’ve found another author whose works I will be looking into.
Would have loved more info on “the blanks”
But creepy, entertaining and heartbreaking

quick read
brought me back to "The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires"-same flow and relaxing depth- not to say it doesn't have its twists

2.5 stars but rounding up. I’m not going to lie. I wasn’t super invested in the story but the ending it was solid.
Oh yeah. This is why I read these short stories. Grady always comes through. This had my bones chilly. Definitely the best short story (so far) in this series. We’ll see if the last two measure up.
Well it's been 5 days and I'm still scared to look out my windows at night, so I'll say that this novella may have been short but it spooked me real good.
This one was interesting enough in concept that I think it could be a longer story. I'd like to hear more about The Blanks and the lore.
I can see how many are upset about what happens, but if you read the synopsis of the story, it's quite evident that a child "pays the price".
Overall, solid and spooky

SO good!!! This could’ve easily been a long ass creepy book. I loved it. Grady’s short stories are amazing. Creepy and left me wanting so much more
