this was… a journey. a healing journey, written in the best way possible.
charlie deserved so much more than what her past gave her. such a young girl, never really getting to experience her childhood and teenage years. the quotes were beautiful, yet heartbreaking. reading about the events of charlies life.. once something good happened, it was crushed. but she healed. she healed without the magic of love. she did it herself. and seeing her thoughts and struggles, i could feel them myself. and you can notice that the author lived thru something similar, because it’s written in such a heartfelt way. one point, why’s there a girl named linus? and a dude named riley? lil confusing at this point.
I’m happy with the way it ended.

Holy shit, this book took me months to read, and i assure u the long breaks inbetween were necessary, but whenever i  d i d pick it up again, i couldnt put it down. Its heavy, and hard, and s o worth the read, this isnt a story shared w u, its a whole entire life, packed in neat pages full of neat words.

This book is so utterly complex it was almost hard to rate. Its girtty and rosy at the same time. It both perfectly explains self harm and its negative effects and glamorizes a toxic relationship. I didn't want to love it but I did. I cried through the last third of the book and am
both satisfied and unsatisfied with the ending. I appreciate that the book doesn't have a happy ever after as its not a happy book but for Charlie I wanted someone to give her one. Gut wrenching and reflective.

Well that was a long fucking ride. this book taught me a lot. to anyone out there that can relate to this book, I am so sorry. but I'm glad to say I can't, however this book did teach me a lot. I never knew that life could be THIS hard + the things people feel.

the way this book was written made me realise that I can be really fucking gratefull and that makes me happy.

but I do have to be truthfull, yes it's a really toughy subject but I still don't like these types of books. I love thrillers, tense and mystery books. this is not one of them. I really tried to guess what was going to happen, but I couldn't cause I couldn't find a good plot line in the writing.
it's really unique but not my style.

if you are into the moving, sad books then this is the one for you tho.

Okay, i have no words. This was sosososo good.
Unlike anything I've read. I'm actually so happy Riley and Charlie didn't end up together. 17 and 27 ain't it and their problems just got in the way

I am not sure how to feel about this book just yet like I felt it could have explored the topics at hand better and in more depth instead of covering many topics and only very little about it. But part of the writing I did feel resonated with me. But this book is very triggering so please do not read it if you would find it bad for you.
