Graves is your typical dark romance, being a little lighter than some others I’ve read. Nothing about it really stood out to me aside from the love interests being brothers. The writing was decent and so was the smut. I think the brothers, for being morally gray, were extremely sweet; I especially loved how obsessed they were with her and how much they spoiled her. The plot was also decent.

As for my criticisms, there was nothing really special about Graves. Everything felt like it was inspired by other dark romances, and it was heavy on the tropes. It just felt like something was missing the entire time I read it. I feel as though I may forget about this book as soon as I’m done with reviews. Also, it was advertised to me as a stalker romance, but there really wasn’t much stalking at all, and we move past the stalking pretty quickly, with occasional mentions here and there. If you plan to read this, then definitely check your triggers because there is non-con in here from one of the MMCs and others.

Overall, it wasn’t a bad read. I actually found it quick and easy to get through when I shut my brain off and allowed it to take me along for the ride. I would recommend this if you’re in the mood for a typical dark romance/why choose and need something easy to read. I don’t recommend it if you’re used to DARK dark romances or looking for something deeper or want a stalker romance. I think I’ll give this one 3.25 stars.

Holy moley. This is a DARK romance book. Why choose. MMC’s are identical twins and FMC has heterochromia. All things murder, stalking, and morally dark gray. Very much “look at her and I’ll gouge your eyes out”. 4.5/5 spicy.

Review
Zayden becomes instantly obsessed with Blake the moment he sees her. After saving her from an attack and going to prison for it, he asks his twin brother Dominic to keep her safe. But Dom falls for her too and unlike Zayden, he actually gets the girl. Zayden makes a deal with the devil to be released early and is gutted and furious to find his brother and Blake together.

This toes the line between “deliciously obsessive” and “too much”.
Zayden was definitely not my cup of tea in the beginning and the way he impersonated his brother without Blake knowing gave me the ick. I appreciated Dom and definitely needed him to even things out.
The spice was plentiful and very good and while this is definitely heavy on the smut, there was enough story behind it to keep me hooked.
Eventually, I did come around on Zayden. And once the dynamic between all three developed into something consensual and mutual, I really enjoyed it, in particular, how the brothers slowly came around to accept that the only way to keep Blake was accepting to share her.

So objectively, this is not perfect by any means. But I had a hell of a good time reading.

Was I a little skeptical about brothers? Yes lol

But I had so much fun with this book. Like I giggled multiple times because there were just so many moments that were just fun. Yes, it's a dark romance with dark elements but like the Blake, Dom and Zay were actually the most precious in their relationships.

AND somehow.. Zayden was the one I was obsessed with. I didn't expect it but did not fight it. That man is a walking red flag and I had no complaints. OTHER THAN, him being locked up at the beginning. How dare you give me Zayden and then tease me by taking him away! So meannnnn Katelyn.

But I had a great time. The end.
