This book gets an additional star for the “my wife” trope bc listen I go feral every time. And while this one of probably my least favorite in the series due to many elements in the actual plot I didn’t *love*, Seraya writes a fucking stellar romance no matter what. 🙂↕️😮💨

I can't believe I didn't read this sooner. It's been a while since I've read some of SeRayas work but this one got me just like the first book did. I adored these characters so much and I was so sad to see them go. I fell so hard for Jamal and Sienna. Seeing him slowly go softer for her and realize he loves her was everything. When she saw what he thought was goikg tk change her mimd but it didnt it just made her love him mkre was so wholesome because she truly loved every psrt of him and thet never changed. I loved seeing him do little things for her and she was all giddy inside. What he did for her on her birthday was everything. He made her feel so special and she deserves that and so much more. This is by far one of my favorite reads of the year and I am so excited to continue on with this series and read Burdens asap. 10000/10 recommend this entire universe.
