Ok I’m going to start by saying this book is not for everyone…but it definitely was for me! Date is completely unhinged in the worst way….but a way that also makes you love him it’s crazy. He’s definitely not the example of a healthy relationship or person…but hey it’s why we read right?? There were so many moments where I was like WTF is happening?! And at about 55% I couldn’t put it down. Anyway if you like unhealthy, completely psychotic MMC this book is for you! Please check trigger warnings before reading

2.5 stars. Idk what to say about this except that it just fell flat to me. Like, why are Anae and Dare such awful people? They just are? Idk I needed inside Dare’s mind more or something. It was twisty and definitely dark, but just…. Flat I guess. Didn’t really enjoy reading it, but also wasn’t bored if that makes sense.
I didn't think I had any triggers but I think this is the first book I've read where the Hero rapes the heroine. Twice. So yeah I guess I do have a trigger. What in the fuck.
I gave it two stars because I did find it really addicting to read up until the last 40%, where I skimmed it. I thought both main characters were fucked up and not in a good way. And It's hard to like a book when you hate the main couple.

The manipulation with this one! I felt like I was Aubrey and getting tossed and turned mentally. I don't think my heart took a rest; it was beating like crazy throughout the story. Comparing this to Untouchable, I think Carter Mahoney wins for me over Dare, but still, what a treat and dark alphahole Dare is.

"Cruel Intentions" is one of my favourite movies... I was looking for similar reads. This gives off *slight* "Cruel Intentions" vibes, and I really enjoyed it.
My stomach was in knots almost all the way through. Dare is completely unhinged and I went from loving to hating him constantly. The way Sam writes him, I believed him and "fell in love" as hard as Aubrey did... But at the same time, I was constantly gasping at his sh>t.
I'm not sure I liked the end. It doesn't feel complete, so unless there is more (I haven't checked yet), I feel like the epilogue could have been something more solid than leaving us with the question of "what does their future hold?".

I give this a 3.5 it was a 5 until the author gave the girl NO FUCKING BACKBONE AT ALL. didn't let him try to win her back after everything he did to her. she just forgave him literally the moment he opened his fucking mouth. like if she had a backbone then it would've been a 4. the author didn't make him seem like he couldn't even possibly change for her. I mean he was still looking at other bitches tits and being flirty even if it was a intimidation tactic... didn't let her b friends with hannah or anything. if she changed that part it would've been a 5 star but he was an OVERALL POS. and I usually love me a morally grey/pitch black guy. but idk he did absolutely nothing for me. the story was great. but I do not like dare not even a little bit. this book was not romantic. and I love a fucking dark romance.
I saw a comment on tiktok asking from a scale from 1-10 how much is he like zade and somebody answered a 10 but through the whole book... BITCH WHERE!???? BITCH FUCKING WHERE!??? he is not even remotely close to zade not even on the same planet NOT EVEN THE SAME FUCKING UNIVERSE. zade was sweet he cared deeply about her and wanted to make her his but also make her happy and protect her. dare doesn't actually give a fuck about aubrey he cares about himself. he literally changed everything about aubrey just so she could fit into his world the way she dresses he hair and all. zade not once did that. zade made himself fit into addie's world he stopped doing shit to make her happy. even when she wasn't around.
all ima say if if you find this man date attractive that's cool but if you are swooning over him! SEEK REAL LIFE HELP. I love me a crazy mfr. but this man is just ew. I hate his guts. this book pissed me off so bad at the end I almost DNF it at like 80% just bc the bitch had no fucking BACKBONE!
if you can't tell I fucking hated this book but loved the story line only if she changed how aubrey reacted and didn't take him back and made him beg and if he actually would change. not b a perfect fucking person but not continue to manipulate her even at the very end like he did.. it would've been a 5 star but nope it's a 2.5... scratch that it's a 2.2 tbh I wanna give it a 1 but I genuinely liked the story.

It started off good but the thing that trip me off was how in the end there was some suggestions of polygamous relationship. If I'm reading a book that do not say anything about polygamy I don't even want to get a glimpse about it.
