When I started the book, I wasn't that into it. It seemed rather typical. But I found myself laughing with Geralt. Then I realized I liked the format of the separate tales coming together. I came to realize that this was a good take on sword & sorcerer books and I like that the "monsters" aren't always who we think.

This book is the start of a fresh take on the fantasy genre. I started buying and reading this series because I realized it was based on books, it won't tarnish the image of the games or the books; in fact it will enhance both and make you feel more connected to the story! If you can read, I suggest you read this.
