I don’t know how she writes so many uniquely enjoyable characters. Also the content can be really dark but somehow it doesn’t feel like it. I am loving this series

I was concerned that this might drag out the “lost memories” storyline too long, but thankfully it was quite action packed.
I’m learning to love Kase and Malin more and more as their relationship develops, but what got me the most with this book is the found family trope. It is genuinely one of my favourites and it has been orchestrated so beautifully in this series.
If I remember anything from the first Trilogy in this series, the third book is going to hurt. I’m picking it up immediately, but I’m not sure I’m ready.

My favorite of the series thus far. I loved the story that LJ Andrew weaves as Malin and gang try to rescue Kase. The plot keeps moving the characters show so much growth and power. I burned through this one so quickly. I am truly loving the continuation of Kase and Malin’s story.
Fav Quote: “No mesmer, no damn spell can take what’s mine. You’re mine, Malin,” He gritted out as he bit down on my bottom lip. “Say it.”
The Deets: The action keeps on coming in this one. I LOVE seeing old friends and meeting new ones. I don’t know why I’m not a fan of Malin but I adore Kase. I think it’s totally just a personal preference in personality of female leads. The stakes get raised as Kase is trapped in the Black Palace and Malin works to bring him back. And oh my gosh the climax of this book really takes a hold and then doesn’t let up until the end. And given that ending … the next book will probably be a favorite :-)

I had a hard time shifting away from the characters of the first 3 books, but once I did, and learned the new folks, it was pretty decent and I found myself invested enough to want to see how things went.
