Oh my goodness Kase and Malins journey is epic. And Kase is the king of all shadow daddys , yup I said it lol . The end was gut wrenching and also freaking amazing.. I cried and I cheered. Not ready to be done with the eastern kingdom yet but can’t wait to read the next one!

This is so far my favorite book in the wider series. But we warned, Andrews woke up to write book 5 and said, "time to make them cry". This was clearly written, tense, and emotional. I could not put it down, and could not stop thinking about it after. I've enjoyed every book so far - yet this one spoke deeply. I think it is a case study in masterly woven fantasy, intrigue, and bonds that cannot be broken.
