I really enjoy this series. I struggle with giving it 5 stars. I read the Ever King first and absolutely devoured it. And it’s so much better than the series but I’m not taking away from this series because I really enjoy this too, but I am more attached to the Ever King characters. I feel like sometimes there are too many characters to keep track of in this series, especially when I have taken a break. Read some other books come back to it.
I love reading about Kase and Malin and I am beyond excited for the next book with Elise and Valen to join them.

I felt like this book was better than the last one. It held my attention and had me wanting to keep reading. The ways the Kryv integrated themselves in the Black Palace was interesting. I loved learning more of the step father’s role in Malin and Kase’s childhood. The ending will have me picking up the next book tomorrow.

The longer the Broken Kingdom series goes on, the more I am trapped by it. And, as I've already said in my other review, I didn't think I would love Mallie and Kase as much as Valen and Elise, but hey, I proved myself wrong. And I'm so glad about it :) This book was so good, so packed with actions, emotions, hurt, sadness, love, anger, really everything was there. And the devotion (and this is an important concept in regards to the entire series and the myth surrounding it) Malin has for Kase is just out of this world.

Wow wow wow. Love this author, love this series! I’m always skeptical when main characters change in a series but this is well done and I think I might love them even more than the original characters. I get HP vibes with the Alver magic and I’m here for it. Can’t wait to get my hands on the next one!!
