Where to start with this book...the plot of the book had potential but the author was literally just throwing a lot of things around to call it a "mystery". I was not a fan of Kenzie at all or any of the other cha acters honestly. The ending felt VERY rushed like it was just thrown together last minute. I'm not a fan of
romance in mysteries/thrillers they are just not necessary fr. Plus EJ and Kenzie were cringe together

Also the writing in general was terrible... Like did this actually go through editors? I noticed several times where the author would say something and then 2 pages later would say THE SAME THING like we didn't just read that. It was so annoying. A lot of things didn't make sense either examples
why did Ben's mom get involved in the first place?? It was never explained just happened...the epilogue was absolutely unbelievable doesn't make sense that the old super would be the one to send the letters! Like just to piss off Ben? Huh makes zero sense

Also, I wish the author would have told us
what condition Kenzie had considering it was a hereditary condition from her real father like why not say what it was?
I will not be reading anything else from this author and definitely wouldn't recommend this unless you wanna rage read.

I enjoyed all the twists and turns of this book! I found myself consistently putting together the dots in a way that was very entertaining. My major gripe is in the epilogue. When we find out who sent the letters, it is very difficult to believe. I would’ve rather had the letters remain a mystery since the ending feels to neat and tidy. I don’t think it was necessary to end the novel with the final two characters. I think it would’ve been much more impactful without those two perspectives.

Hooked from the get go. Well-timed twists and all plots answered. The ending wrapped up in a neat little bow. Loved it from beginning to end - literally could not put it down

I really almost quit reading this 30% in. The writing was almost like it was meant for teenagers. The storyline was what kept me going. So many grammatical errors. The same exact tone for every character. Nothing changed. Whether it was Mackenzie, the letter, Ben, or anyone else, the same mannerisms and phrases repeated so it was all one character it seemed. The storyline was what bumped it up to 3 stars, but l'm not sure why this book is so highly recommended by people. Not a fan.
