I do agree with the comment a lot of people made that the initial theory that we don't live in a disciplinary society anymore and that we don't distinguish an "other" but rather only a "different" is not well argumented and possivly false. However, i find a lot of his theories to still stand to be true. Most specifically the "main" point that we arrived to a system of self exploitation which is the most efficient form of capitalism and also it is set to produce burnout. I found the chapter on boredom/hyperactivity to be really enlightening as well. I feel like most people know that multitasking is bad, subconsciously, but we are told so many times that it is a positive thing that we continue to foster it even if it adds no value to one's life. The author introduced me to a lot of other books i want to read as well, like Ehrenberg "Weariness".
