Okay so this is my new obsession now.
I’m already a SUCKER for a young love high school romance, but an enemies to lovers forced proximity fake dating one that involves a lowkey dummy goblin girl with a guy who’s a more fictional spazz and is somehow the chill one? Perfection. It’s giving big Toradora energy.
Don’t really care about the locket girl but we’ll see if that changes.

This was okay. I can see the appeal even if i didn't love it. If you like the characters hating each other at first trope you might enjoy this. I'll continue on with the anime and see if I get more gripped by the story.
This manga has very nice looking art. It is very expressive and more manga like but at the same time looks realistic and clean. Characters are well drawn, you won’t mistake one for the other even when they are in their extreme manga like state (you know when they lose details to concentrate more on their expressions especially in arguments).
As for the story, it’s Romance, Slice Of Life in Harem style without any Ecchi parts (which is good). The main character is a boy named Raku Ichijou, a normal reliable guy with some admirable good qualities, he is also an heir to a yakuza group but he doesn’t want to become yakuza he just want a normal life but trouble arrives on the heels of a transfer student called Chitoge Kirisaki. She is a typical manga heroin strong and suborn. They even have a little violent meeting with a misunderstanding. Chitoge is also a selfless and good person but she simply don’t like Raku, it is the same with Raku. But fate intervenes and they become fake lovers for the sake of their families. Raku likes another girl named Onodera and she likes Raku back but they are clueless about each other’s feelings, and the fake relationship kind of get in their way too Then there’s child hood promise with key and a lock which no one remembers Cleary.
Their feelings change and other characters comes in to muddle things up. All the characters have unique personalities of their own and problems and challenges comes with it. Even the easy going character like shuu has Issues. I think this manga is nearing to its end, things are progressing rapidly in the last published chapters. so if you want to read a long romantic-comedy manga with good story and art this is the one for you.

so way back in the day baby!raku had a thing for this girl who moved somewhere. she gave him a locket and she kept the key and present!raku now enjoys idly daydreaming about his truest childhood love and the possibility that - just maybe! - she is actually his current crush onodera
(she is. she totally is. i don't even count this as a spoiler because it's obvious as hell and she admits it in like chapter 2)
alas for raku he is the heir to a manga yakuza family which means they are all prone to fighting and over invested in his love life. his parents tell him he needs to fake date kirisaki, the daughter of a big rival gangster family because it's the only thing that'll end the fighting!
so yeah, that's where the false love title comes in. it's...okay? okay is all i've got. my library's got a million volumes of this though so i might give volume 2 a go just since it's easily available. 2.5 stars

This really cute and funny manga is about two teenagers who get into a fake dating relationship to stop the war between their two gang/yakuza families. But they hate each other.
The main character had a pendant given to him as a kid by someone who promised they'd get married one day. He's crushing on a fellow student that is not the rival gang daughter, and little does he know she owns the key to his pendant (and his heart).

I dislike love triangles vehemently. And it was a trope not done in a way that made it refreshing. Boring and rankling for me.
