So I'm going to be in the minority in my opinion here. Since this is the final installment in a popular series, odds were most were going to love it no matter what, however I was not one of those people.

I read the first four books a year ago in one fell swoop. I think I was in a mood to be entertained so was probably more generous with those books than I normally would have been. So my feelings on this book are maybe not so surprising. Reading this, I am baffled why I read through the series. (I imagine it was mostly due the the cliffhangers since I hate an unfinished story.) Was the writing this bad in the other books? Holy alien butt babies? What does that even mean!?!? And then many of the battle scenes I could barely follow what was happening. The writing was just confusing.

And then getting past the bad writing, there was the plot. I'm supposed to believe that a bunch of 17 year olds were the only hope to save the world from an alien domination??? Katy is talking back to military generals, stomping her foot as she rants against the Arum, yadda yadda yadda. She's sooooo amazing, she can do anything >_<

I just wanted to get through it. There really wasn't much redeeming about this and I didn't much care what happened to anyone. *shrug*

“I'm game for anything with you, Daemon Black.”

Oh my goodness I can't believe this has come to an end!

JLA - you ended the Lux series with the massive bang that our characters and this story deserved. My heart broke and mended all over again with Opposition. The whole book was packed full of action, and filled with so many unexpected twists and turns. A hefty dose of moral dilemmas had me on the edge of my seat and feeling as conflicted and tied up in knots as Katy and Daemon did.

I absolutely loved it. If you've been considering reading The Lux Series, get onto it ASAP!

This is the conclusion to the Lux Series. Daemon and Katy played all their cards. Now life has dealt them a shitty hand. A large scale Lux invasion is happening all across the world. Who side will Daemon and his family side on.

This book read like a Michael Bay movie. It was so dramatic and over the top. I loved every minute of it.

I have grown to adore these characters so much. I think Katy has grown so much over the course of this series. She started out so needy and jealous of anyone who Daemon even looked at.

She is now only mildly too codependent on that boy. lol

This was such a fun read series. I wish we had more to the epilogue. I was not ready to say goodbye to these characters.

Armentrout truly knows how to write some entertaining books.

I give this book a B.

Soo.. I finished it. I am once again at a loss for words. I never expected I would enjoy this series as much as I actually have. Like, I after I read Obsidian I had a good feeling about it but I never thought I would get so obsessed with it.
Finishing the last book gave me a sense of fulfillment but at the same time I also feel a little empty inside because I am just so in love with the world Jennifer L. Armentrout created.
Everything is so complex and intriguing, the plot and the characters are so well structured that you instantly fall in love and get attached.
There are series where things start out really well and they suddenly flop in the next few volumes but Lux is definitely not one of them. It is built on such a strong foundation and somehow every volume seems to surpass the one before. 10/10 would recommend!!
I wish I could write so much more to describe not only this book but the whole series but I really can't put into words everything I feel.

thank God for jennifer l armentrout,i'm in awe

Meine Meinung

Wanna know what quote KILLED ME 23% of the way into this book??

“I broke every rule of my kind to heal you and keep you with me. I married you and burned down an entire city to keep you safe. I’ve killed for you. Did you think I’d forget what you mean to me? That anything in this world—in any world—would be stronger than my love for you?”

Cool. Crying. Over married teenage aliens.

It’s fine. I’m fine.
