A few passages held together a very strange and graphic narrative.

It’s very intriguing and well written but too dark and surreal for me right now. I need something I can hold on to a bit more, while this one slips through my fingers like grains of sand.
Graphic: Body horror, Death, Misogyny
medium-paced

This was a lot. Take that as you will.
For anyone else wanting to read this, it took me a solid chunk of time to think about the message within the Blind Owl and find some articles that discussed what the fuck I actually read.
The book itself is pretty violent towards women and made me go, "that's a nah from me dawg." I simply do not want to read the ramblings of a misogynistic narrator!
The way Hedayat builds dread in the first half is an absolute banger. The constant repetition and fever dream like qualities were a fun and heavy time.
