Actually might’ve been my favorite SJM book !!! There were zero dull moments and I loved every second.

6 | SJM’s worldbuilding stays unmatched. I am completely and utterly obsessed.

The story was really interesting until it got so incredibly convoluted at the end. And fair warning that the spicy stuff never really comes to fruition.

*RE-READ* Still just as good the second time around. I picked up on more information and have even more questions now.
This was everything I wanted and so much more.
The world building did not lack at all. Sarah J Maas always has good world building and this was no different. She doesn't leave out any details, she even takes time to explain foods...something so small detail wise but sometimes makes the difference in world building.
The characters were done amazing. There was a lot of angst but also some morals challenged and handled properly. I did find our MC to be whiney sometimes, though it seemed to be when she was moody. Who isn't moody sometimes?!?
The romance in here is slow burn and typical Sarah J Maas. I was rooting for them from the beginning. The slow burn and sarcastic banter made it worth it. There definitely was a lot less smut then normal, but the slow burn hits you right in the feels instead.
The ending left me with tears and speechless. I am so excited to see where she takes this novel and these characters. This is a series that is going to hopefully keep blowing socks off people.

I deeply wish this would have been split into two books, it was SO long for the first book in a series. That being said this is what they should make into a tv show, not ACOTAR.
