Much less satisfying than previous volumes. Murderer was out of nowhere. Extra romance was unrealistic, especially with the old ones remaining.
emotional mysterious fast-paced

can't wait to start the next one!

Another fun mystery in the Hannah Swensen mystery series. These are quick mysteries and Hannah is becoming quite well know for her sleuthing skills. Looking forward to reading the Wedding Cake Murder next.

Glad it looks like this series may be wrapping up. No more spoilers, but I'm pretty sure everyone in Lake Eden must be dead by now so you'd think it would have to send soon. This is one storyline that has gone on too long.
Furthermore, the authors writes as if her readers are about 10 years old (or maybe younger!). Everything has to be explained in such detail as if the readers aren't aware of anything.
Not sure how I ever managed to stick with these books this long.

These books are written like the author thinks the reader is stupid. I swore I wouldn't read another in the series, yet I did.

Entertaining read. I just wish Hannah would make up her mind already, things are getting ridiculous...
The narrator's rendering of Dolores' and Hannah's sister's voices was beyond annoying.
Although I do enjoy this cozy mystery series, I always thought the books were too long for this genre. There is way too much day-to-day and conversations with or about cats to my liking.
