Me habían vendido este libro como un dark romance cute, y tengo que decir que entiendo el por qué. Pero no deja de tratar varios temas muy oscuros.
El primer capítulo? Siento que no tiene sentido alguno con el resto. Es más, me pareció el capítulo más "malo". La actitud de ambos cuando se conocen??? Tenéis 15 años, podéis interactuar como personas normales??? Gracias.
La cuestión es que, después de esa introducción tan rara, el personaje de Kade en los capítulos ambientados en el pasado ha sido lo que más me ha gustado. Me encanta lo que lo hace diferente del resto de personajes masculinos y la dinámica que eso crea con Stacey. Me parecen capítulos muy tiernos... hasta que se carga de hormonas.
En cuanto a Kade en el presente, sí que entiendo su actitud, pero hace que me guste un poco menos su personaje. Creo que pierde esa esencia que tenía.
Con Stacey, lo que más me ha chocado es que, siendo tan joven, habiendo pasado por tanto y viviendo la situación que vive, siga teniendo esa normalidad en su día a día. Además, que con 21 años esté tan formada en acrobacias y cosas de esas, y trabajando de ello like a pro. No me sorprendería si los protas fueran estadounidenses, pero quiero pensar que en Escocia es normal?? Si casi no han salido ni de la universidad.
Además la ambientación es una mezcla de familias ricas que se mueven por los barrios mas chungos y las movidas mas turbias. Like i do not get it.
Mayormente, creo que el problema para mí es que, con solo 21 años, han pasado por tanto que me choca que vivan una vida "normal". Sobre todo en el ámbito sexual. Además, hay tanto spicy en el libro que se me ha llegado a hacer cansino. Pero lo que me sorprende es que jamás adivinaría por lo que ambos han pasado si no se dijera explícitamente.
Más allá de eso, tampoco me convence del todo la relación y la situación con el padre de Kade. Se trata también con una normalidad muy extraña. Es como si todo lo que ocurre en el libro fuera algo super cotidiano, y a mí no me deja de parecer bastante surrealista.
Y para rematar los secundarios, en este caso las 2 amigas de ella y los 2 amigos de él no me encantan como grupo, hacen bulto en la historia pero no me aportan nada interesante.
En cuanto a la trama que sigue a los personajes, pues bueno, tengo curiosidad por ver cómo se va a seguir desarrollando en el resto de la trilogía, pero pinta que nos hará sufrir.
A medida que avanza la "reconciliación" de Stacey y Kade me parece que tienen escenas muy monas y aunque haya mucho spicy no esta mal (hay alguna escena que socorro) pero en general tengo ganas de ver como avanza el romance.

4.75/5 This series is addictive! There is so much going on with Stacey and Kade. I am a bit confused on parts, but I hope things start to make more sense in the next book! The people Kade work for need to go and so does Chris!
I like this book. I like when a book gets me to say a little “yeah. yeah!” Moment lol. The endinggg was sendinggg me tho! Killing people and an armored chase through the streets just for Stacey!!! Lol! Bye. If Archie wanted her so bad she was literally right there on the bike he could’ve taken her. I liked the spice but miscommunication trope is a real bitch so I can’t rate this very high lol. When he finds out the truth it’s gonna be crayyyyyyyyyyyy lol Rip Chris fs!!!!
Also. Wait. I’m sorry —- is the obsession in this book Stacey? Or the Greatest Showman? Like holy shit girl! We get it! You fucking LOVE it. Like?? What is the point lmfao! It was brought up AT LEAST once every chapter. And for what. I’m a greatest showman lover but in the middle of a dark romance book? PLEASE LOL

Sucked in. Hooked. Obsessed. From the very beginning of this story I could not manage to put it down. You can already tell from the very beginning that it’s going to get real crazy, real fast, and that it does!
Kade and Luciella are twins and the children of a most notorious serial killer, who is imprisoned in an asylum in America. Stacey is Luciella’s best friend whose parents both died so she lives with her stepmother and as far as everyone else knows, only one step brother. She hides the second one because he is physically and sexually abusive towards her. Did I mention she was also Kade’s secret girlfriend at one time?
The theme of this book is definitely keep your secrets locked up tight.

The backstories and current troubles made my heart ache and completely made me fall in love with them. I immediately started the next book and hopefully my thoughts wont be as scattered with this one.

Basically it was just luck of communication. Kade in just 2 years is an expert killer, trained in 10 countries and he is 21 years old. Really? So, Stacey can't tell her own truth because her stepbrother will kill him.. the stepbrother, who we only know nearly nothing will kill the killer..really?Ok, it was fun, i will read the other two, but i don't understand how it is so high rated. I just want a little more realism, even if it is fiction. Is it too much?
