Crown of Earth and Sky
Emberly Ash
4.5 stars
Crown of Earth and Sky is a high fae, imaginative retelling of the King Arthur tale. This very spicy rendition leaves nothing to the imagination in its steamy scenes, this is definitely one to read for the girlies looking for spice. Although I like the saucy chapters as much as anyone else, I was completely entrapped by the plot, which made me unable to put the book down ! This retelling shook up the original story enough that the placement of key artefacts were clever nods to the King Arthur story we know well, but different enough that so much of the plot, intrigue and betrayals caught me by surprise. It helps that this book had so many tropes that I love, including enemies to lovers, forced proximity, elemental magic, found family, fated mates and more! This was an easy read and I will be immediately reading the second book (stay tuned for my review of Throne of Air and Darkness) because that cliffhanger was cruel Emberly! Although I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will be eagerly recommending to my fellow readers, do please check the trigger warnings before reading this one ! Xxx

This book was a nice surprise. Though the cover and the description were interesting, I still had doubts. However, once I got to this book, I definitely fell in love with this world. Veyka's story had me interested from beginning to end, no matter how annoyed I was by Arran, who was to me an actual ass. The concept was interesting, and it was nicely executed, but there is room for improvement. The romance was not necessarily my cup of tea as it was a bit too instant and not what i honestly wanted, but that didn't take from my enjoyment. Overall, it's a really nice book with a unique concept even though I couldn't be bothered to read once more about her soft belly. Instead of being inclusive, it ended up unflattering her. This book is definitely worth a try.

This is sooo good, and has so much potencial for its future books. I'm excited to keep going!
It has a very good world-building, it's quite interesting even though it was a bit hard to get into it at first. It had the typical confusing start, when you get a lot of information and it's overwhelming, but it is quite well done.
I really liked the characters, they were entertaining to say the least. Plus, I loved Veyka and Arran together. There was animosity, there was tension, and there was a spark; at least, I felt it from their first scene together. It might've been insta-lust, but it was sooo entertaining.
Plus, lot's of drama and plots in this one. Definitely a fun read.
Thank you to netgalley for the chance to read this amazing book, and to the publisher for accepting my request.

I really liked this fae fantasy very much! It has a complete world building. The book ends on a cliffhanger but the next book is around the corner and i can't wait for it!
Veyka and Arran are both fae and dealing with their own trauma's.
I really liked the world building and the writing style of Emberly.
Thankyou very much Netgalley and the publisher for providing this arc read. All opinions are my own.
