At first, I was very skeptical when reading the first 25%… but after that, I couldn’t put it down. This book was excellent, and full of so much information and the story retelling of Excalibur/Arthur and the pendragon line was perfection. The sassy MFC did not disappoint, Veyka Pendragon had so much growth and her coming into her true self was flawlessly executed. The slow burn that occupied this book I really enjoyed considering I am not a fan. It is also a rating of 3 chilis 🌶️🌶️🌶️ depending on your preference of smut.

So, so good! The storyline was captivating, the relationship between Arran and Veyka was hot, but I like that the story wasn’t overwhelmed by steamy scenes. And that’s odd for me to say, because I generally like my smut with an extra dose of smut on the side. The steam would’ve been nice, but it wasn’t necessary to advance the plot. I can’t wait for more of this series!

One side note, the typos and editorial mistakes were a bit glaring, so hopefully those kinks are ironed out.

"I absolutely love this book—so much that I’m reading it for the second time! The twist on King Arthur and the Round Table is fantastic, and the characters are so well-developed. The SPICE is top-notch! Veyka is such a misunderstood yet powerful character; she proves that you don’t need magic to be a total badass and never lets others’ opinions define her. Her dynamic with Arran was so fun to follow, and I can’t wait to see what happens with them in the next book!"

This craftily created fae Arthur and the round table, was simply amazing.

The ending had me upset, disappointed and screeching at the way it ended.

Veyka very much does not want to be queen, despite how well suited she is for it.

Arran is stubborn, and guarded but he finds himself charmed by his soon to be queen.

I rate this 4 stars and if you're having a ACOTAR withdrawal I highly suggest you read this. This ended my void

“Crown of Earth and Sky” is a dark romance fantasy that includes a Retelling of King Arthur with fae, twists, and tons of spice! You’ll be unable to put this novel down!

I’ve been enjoying reading many Arthurian retellings and this is hands down one of the greatest retellings. It was so beautifully written and I loved that I was able to connect with the characters.
Veyka was a strong independent woman and you were really able to relate with her character. Arran is your dark and mysterious love interest!

I can’t wait to read the next novel in this series!!
