I liked this book and found it entertaining however it moved too slowly for me to rate it any higher. It ended in a cliffhanger so I will have to see if the second book can hook me a bit more!

I’m still reeling from the cliffhanger ending!! Luckily I have the next book waiting.
I enjoyed the world building of this book and I really enjoyed the last 1/3 of the book. Things really started to come together then and the plot seemed to take off.
The FMC seems to have finally found her footing by the end and I think I’ll enjoy seeing her growth in the next book. A word of warning there are some super dark elements to this book which may be triggering.
I would say a strong 3.5/5 for me with fingers crossed for the next book.

I absolutely loved this book! The story was captivating, I loved the growth we see in Veyka, specifically. The magic system was a little confusing, but I ended up really liking it. I very much enjoyed the romance too. Overall, great story. I can’t wait to continue this series!

'Crown Of Earth and Sky' is the first in a trilogy and it has such high potential. I love Emberly's writing style and the way the story flows but my qualm was just I didn't like the characters yet - we've got 2 more books to develop these characters so I'm not too bothered about this factoid- and that the ending smut which I expected just was weird to me - maybe because I don't like smut or maybe because I expected... more?? I don't know??
I was lucky to recieve the second book in the trilogy as an ARC also so I'll be interested to see what happens next.
