WOW! I was so gripped by this book, and the characters journeys — I couldn’t put this down for a second.
Amylia’s journey is harrowing, and heartfelt and her Gryffon and Cecily? Omg perfection. I loved every single interaction these characters had. It was also so refreshing for a male main character to just be… good? No hidden agenda, no morally grey attitude, Gryffon is just a green flag of a man (so is Rogue). There is some killer feminine rage action in this book, and I ATE IT UP 🫡. THE FOUND FAMILY IN THIS IS ELITE 🥹.
The magic system, and world building, is flawless and I could see everything so clearly. I loved all of the unique animals/creatures we met, and the character’s interactions with them and the role the animals played in the story!
This did definitely get dark, so please check your TW but I found that nothing was there for shock value, and was handled with extreme care which made me feel very safe whilst reading.

Guys…here I am 1:00am I’m writing this review because I loved it. I loved the journey it took me on. All the main characters are so likeable and I became quickly invested in their journey and Rogue had me cackling which is always a plus.
I will definitely continue this series and will definitely recommend to any and all.

Loved the concept and the romance aspects of this story! I had to DNF because of the POV, it’s all in third person but it seemed to constantly shift whose eyes the reader is viewing the story through without any warning. This is a great way to get a glimpse into everyone’s view of the same situation, but it made it difficult for me to pay attention or get a full grasp on the individual characters’ motivations. Definitely think this is more of a ‘me’ issue/preference and I would still recommend others trying this book!

Overall I enjoyed this book and I definitely can't wait to see what happens in the sequel, there were just a few issues that held me back from rating it higher.
I liked the plot and the characters, I thought it was great giving such personality to some of the animal characters and the twist at the end was so good! The world building was interesting, although some things could have been explained a bit more thoroughly I felt.
What held this book back for me was the pacing, I felt like some of the bigger events were rushed, while a large part of the book was spent with nothing really happening. Another minor gripe was that sometimes the POV switching got a bit confusing.
