This book made me laugh out loud a couple of times. Kept me guessing mostly until the end.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were great, the plot kept you guessing till the end. I was upset I hadn't read the previous book for the back story, however, after reading the first book I am glad I read this one first. No comparison with the two books. This was a fastmoving interesting book. I liked how he took factual history and sput it to fit into a current day mystery. I also enjoyed the added benefit of information about the national archives.

This is slightly different than most books that inhabit the “political-mystery-thriller with a dash of history”. The characters are well fleshed out but still keep you guessing on motives and sides. Beecher is a really average Everyman character which is really refreshing as we learn the twists and turns with him. The first 1/2 is a much slower burn than the second half as all the groundwork is laid out and then the book really starts picking up steam. Overall an interesting read and I’ll probably be continuing with the series.

Fun to have a mystery set in the National Archives and with archivists as the main characters, but a lot of it was over the top and I couldn't follow some of the story line.

I like Brad Meltzer. There was plenty of action. I hadn't heard about the culper ring so it was fun to learn about. It was very conspiracy theory driven...

Had to pick it up... main character is an archivist at the National Archives. Enjoyed it. Nice suspense.

I used to love Meltzer's books but this was the end for me. Really boring first chapter, then we go back to the main character's days in high school. That was the end for me.

Loved the book. Can't wait to read the next one!
