Kept my interest, but somewhat predictable. Characters are engaging and it kept moving at a good pace. Good summer read at the pool.

another great read... but it didn't say if Alex found those microphones in his house!!! 😂

Time to put Alex Cross away ... permanently. I wasted a couple of hours reading this.

Always the same with Patterson's "Cross" series. A one day read. Short chapters. Predictable villains. Over the top/too easy ending...and yet I keep reading them. I love Alex Cross. I don't keep up with any of Patterson's other work/collaborations but I can't quit Cross. I just can't.

The Alex Cross series is one that these days I read more out of habit than anything else.

I'm invested so much time into them over the years. The majority of the best books were the first 10-12 I'd say.

However this one really stood out for me. What I liked was there was a multitude of threads going on, but we never lost site of the main plot. This was one I couldn't stop reading, and is the only post 2010 book to get on my Best Alex Cross Books list.

Typical James Patterson--short chapters, quick read. It was a little more intense and explicit about the murder scenes than I care for. I read so many Patterson books, I had a hard time remembering the difference between Alex Cross and Michael Bennett. I think I like his co-writers at least as well as I like his writing. Good book, obviously with the 4 stars, but far from my favorite.
dark tense slow-paced

Not as enjoyable as his others but still a good book.

First of, I got this book through a Goodreads giveaway.
I've never heard about the "Alex Cross" series or even James Patterson before. (Then again I just started reading seriously this year, so pardon me.)

I just jumped right in with no expectations at all. And boy was it a fun ride.

This book has everything I could wished for in the crime/detective genre. A full packed story with more than one murder, gruesome deaths, pretty girls and and and.

I got attached to the characters pretty fast and the pages turned themselves.

The really short chapters were nice too. It felt like I would watch a tv show and every chapter is a scene.

This sure wasn't the last book I read about "Alex Cross" or from Patterson.

I think I've finally read enough James Patterson novels to know what is coming. The ending for this novel is potentially a shocker, but I had a strong suspicion working through it that I knew the ending. Sure enough, 6 chapters from the end and the big reveal proved I was right. However, this takes nothing away from the novel, which is a brilliant read. I don't know if Patterson could've possibly squeezed much else into the book, it's very intense with a lot going on at any one point. For me, Patterson/Cross has consistently got better over the years and Run Alex Cross is no exception.
