Second chance heaven!

First, I have to say how grateful I am to the author for being so transparent with situations that could cause TW's for readers, and I am one of them. I went into this story with the mindset that Masie and Warren are still legally married, with fully onboard with him wanting to fight for their relationship.

It even had a cameo from another book in Brooke's small town world, which I always enjoy seeing. In particular, I loved Warren's family with my entire heart. I honestly couldn't get enough of them and can't wait for the next book in the series.

I honestly don't think Brooke is capable of writing a book I don't love. Warren and Maisie are out of a dream, and my heart clenched and swooned and fell flat on its little heart for them.

If there were ever two people destined to be together, it's them. I can't wait to reread this and I can't wait to see what adventures Brooke takes us on in Willow Branch Mtn.

Warren and Maisie are ❤️❤️❤️
This is a second chance, cowboy & city girl with country roots, small town romance. It's the first in the new Willow Branch series and I'm in love. This gives me Sweet Home Alabama vibes and I am here for it. I really enjoyed the characters and the angst between them.
Warren and Maisie were high school sweethearts and got married nine years ago. Then Maisie left for New York City and has been gone for seven years. But she never divorced Warren. Now she's engaged to someone else and needs a divorce. Warren still loves her and will only sign the papers if she gives him seven days to show her they shouldn't be divorced.
This was a slow burn but once the spice lit, it was flaming

4.5 I'll take your name stars

I'm thrilled that we are finally getting the Willow Branch Mountain Series. If you have read the Sugarland Creek Series, you'll recall meeting some of their cousins who have a resort ranch. This is the cousins' series. And if this first book is anything to go by, you're going to LOVE it!

Warren is the oldest of the Langston siblings and has been a bit of a grump for the past several years, with good reason, of course. You see, his high school sweetheart went to New York for college and then followed her dream of becoming a literary agent there as well, after they had married. Fast forward seven years, and she is back looking for him to sign the divorce papers that she has sent him several times over the years so she can marry someone else, but he isn't going to make it easy for her. Oh, let the fun begin!

I adored Warren and his caring and nurturing manner. Being the eldest child usually means they're the one who usually helps out with the younger siblings, but that isn't always the case, and the way he cares for Maisie is beyond anything a sibling would do for one another. The term "It's always been you" is perfect for the way Warren feels about Maisie, you can see it in EVERYTHING he has done and hasn't done in the time they have been apart. Oh my heart, to have someone so dedicated to you, I think that is something everyone hopes for in a relationship.

Maisie was a hoot at the beginning, showing up to the ranch in heels, like she forgot what it was like to be in the small town. But once she became less frazzled, it was fun to watch her fall for Warren all over again.

I enjoyed this story so much, I didn't want it to end. Although I must admit that I truly disliked Maisie's fiancé and had a feeling that he was a piece of work, just as he proved himself to be, and if that scene hadn't been added, I would have been happy. However, it was pivotal to the story, so I understand.

Brooke Montgomery has given readers a taste of what's to come in the Willow Brance Mountain Series, and I, for one, cannot wait for the next book - it's going to be a fun one if you enjoy the Brother's Best Friend trope.

I highly recommend this book to readers who enjoy SPICY Contemporary Romances, Small Town Romances, Cowboy Romances, Second Chance Romances, Slow Burn Romances, Forced Proximity Romances, or Estranged Lovers Romances.

Happy Reading!!!

✨arc review✨

Brooke teased Warren's story in Fall With Me, and I have been excited ever since. Warren and Maisie are married and estranged, and Warren has refused to sign the divorce papers for 7 years. Now that Maisie is wanting to get married again, she needs Warren to sign these divorce papers, but he's not letting her go without a fight. He says he'll sign the papers if she gives him a week to change her mind. This book had a very interesting plot! You can predict from the beginning what the outcome is going to be, but I loved the way Warren went about it. There were a few things I didn't love, such as the dialogue sometimes not being very realistic on how she talks, as well as some random plot points here and there, but overall, it was a great book!

Thank you to Brooke Montgomery for the arc!!

Take my Name is the first book in Brooke Montgomerys new series, Willow Branch Mountain. Which is a spin off from her Sugarland Creek series, the family’s are related but you don’t need to read the other series to enjoy this one.

Warren and Maisie were childhood sweethearts who were madly in love and got married young. It’s been 7 years since they’ve seen each other, Warren is still madly in love with her but she’s moved on and wants a divorce.

So after multiple attempts at getting divorce papers signed, Maisie shows up at his door to get it done. While he’s still in love with her, he’s hurt that’s she’s moved on but he ends up giving her an offer, he’ll sign the papers if she’ll go on 7 dates with him to prove there’s still something between them.

I don’t know what Brooke puts in her books but once I start I can’t stop! I was hesitant going in as I wasn’t sure how it was going to play out with her being with someone else, but thankfully there is no real cheating in my eyes. You’re welcome to ask me more details but I don’t want to spoil the story.

❛Maisie’s the love of my life, and even if she doesn’t pick me, I’ll always pick her.❜

Well if Warren isn't one of the best book husbands out there. This man had my swoon activated this whole book, I just loved him. I sure was having all types of feelings while reading this, some good and not so good. Especially regarding Maisie, I just could not warm up to her, I was happy to see her have some clarity on her choices. I'm a sucker for a second chance and for Warren I'm glad he got his. I loved the ranch and all the family we met, such a great backdrop for this series.
