The Ice Princess and the Ruthless Ice God clash when they both refuse to back down from each other and it causes a delicious tension that follows them for a long time. Winter has learned the hard way that others will use someone like her for their own selfish reasons and she has placed those icy walls firmly in place refusing to let anyone in, but she doesn’t expect the one guy that pushes her buttons to annihilate her completely. Asher is a fierce protector that will do whatever it takes to be there for those he loves and he is also a ruthless guy when it comes to others who threaten that in any way. When Winter has pushed and pushed him he reaches his limits until it all crashes down on him and he realizes this tension between them is something more than just anger, but with others standing in the way of it all can he be the one that stands by Winter’s side and stay? Such a great enemies to lovers read that had me falling hard for the man that Asher is because his loyalty and love superseded it all and watching Winter slowly come out of her icy shell was a beautiful transformation to see. The push and pull between them kept me glued in but the suspense surrounding them really had me on the edge of my seat. I can’t wait to see which direction this author takes us next because it is always a wild crazy ride that I love.
Winter and Asher are from completely different worlds, one where her parents set her up on dates with men they think would be good options; however, their most recent pairing, Trent, is one that creeps her out. Winter accidentally lets it slip to her dad that she is currently seeing someone, but the problem is she said it was Asher. The two really do not get along after a past misunderstanding, but he ends up agreeing to be her fake boyfriend. It quickly moves from fake to real when the two keep showing up for the other: neither has had anyone to care to put them first and protect them. The problem is Trent because he has no qualms about intimidating anyone and anything that poses a threat to what he views as their set in stone relationship, especially because of their families past. When Winter needed people to lean on, Asher and his friends and family were there to rally around her, but they had become hers too (which leads her to realize how much she has to lose). Winter treasured the knots left from Asher, and his gifts kept getting better. I really love the Ice Gods, especially because they have all made for such good bully romances. I can’t wait for the next one.
Dark Hockey, TWs, enemies to lovers
I feel like this book is really building up to something especially with Bran appearing. I don’t think I ship Asher and Winter as much as I did Beckett and Eve but I still loved their story. Their story didn’t feel forced but it also didn’t seem as invested in just the two of them.
I’m quite excited to see how Marcus’ book goes and if the Ice gods do link more closely to Nikolai and Bran later on.

If Mila Kane writes it, I'm going to read it. She never disappoints, and I'm loving this series.
I can't wait to read Marcus and Aria's story!
