Daddy’s little girl and the boy from the other side of the tracks.
The Hade Harbor Hellions series keeps getting better and better. Asher is a more depraved character than he is depicted in the prior books. Also, the backstories get progressively darker but there’s always a HEA. Feelings get resolved, characters grow and develop.
If you read the Vicious Vengeance duet, Bran O’Connor makes a guest appearance. I love series that have crossovers.

Ok so I really liked this book until they lost me at the end. This weirdo club that she partners up with some rando Irish mafia guy to take down and is never heard from again. She just in the hospital for a few days but no explanation of how because she sure as hell wasn’t gonna tell anyone that she was being held captive in said club. Also they were 19 when all of this was happening. Her relationship with Selena was so strange. Idk like there was potential but it was executed poorly.

This has been the best in the series so far. He is the most obsessed and he never gives up on her no matter what. It was a joy to watch them fall in love.
I don't know what she puts in these books but I love this series.

The band was thin and surprisingly elegant for something he made himself. The entire thing was plaited like a rope, and in the very middle sat a knot, carefully tied in the middle.
"Can you name the knot, your majesty?"
I shook my head, unable to speak.
"It's called a grapevine knot. Most commonly used in search and rescue missions. This knot means finding someone who's lost and holding onto them and never letting h. Wherever you go, whatever you need... I'm with you"
THIS QUOTE HAD ME FOLDING SO BAD.
However, I didn't understand the introduction and mention of knots in general. I guess it was just "their thing".
There were romantic scenes that had me swooning but the overall plot and execution was just mediocre. The events that appeared felt slow but the ending was definitely rushed. My mind questioned a lot of storylines and dialogue in this book lmao.
I found myself wishing Winter and Asher had a better background story like getting to know them together before they got together. It just felt like whiplash from each event then it was already present day and it just felt like they build-up of them prior wasn't there. The build-up of them during the "present day" era felt better but not fulfilling to me. The back and forth in the beginning drove me literally nuts like whyyyyy are we dragging this!! And also the fact Asher kept calling Winter "Brat" LIKE GIVE HER A DIFFERENT PET NAME OMG! I guess I just got use to it when the book went on and didn't mind it anymore but it just felt SO excessive imo.
I also questioned a lot of events that took place. For example,
Also, it felt like Asher was trying to be the "bad boy from the other tracks" so bad... it definitely annoyed me at times but I guess at least he stuck to his character.
I have some reservations about Winter. At first, she was my sweet girl, and the way she FELT everything which I can relate to and loved her for it. However, there were some things she did and said that had me thinking why would she say or do that 😭😭😭 Anyways I feel indifferent but also mixed feelings?? hm. I'm going to leave it at that.
But them together was soooo heart breaking in a good way. They deserve the love and protection and wanting they desired in their youth days. They just deserve each other ugh 💔☹️💓
About Trent...
I know people hate Selena but omg I would love her book!! Mean girl who was just acting mean to drive people away (very long trope but iykyk)!
Anyways, I wished I liked their book a little bit more because I was so interested in them ☹️ but I guess it's fine *sigh*
Tropes:
Fake dating
Rich girl x poor boy
Bully elements
Knife play
Dub con
Primal chase scenes
Hot hockey player + bully + fake dating = Winner
Asher and Winter were everything I was hoping they would be. Their banter, pranks, games, and sheer determination to not need one another was just perfection. Their chemistry was through the roof. Some of these scenes totally made me blush. The fire truck game.....Y'ALL... !!
