PS I Love You

This was my first foray into the romance genre in a long time. Some might say it’s not the best choice given this was Ahern’s first novel and she was so young when she wrote it. While the same story could’ve been told in 150 pages less, it was sweet and not too sappy. I liked it even more that the ending wasn’t what I thought it would be. The characters were sometimes cartoony, but there were some touching moments and I especially liked that Holly was imperfect as the main character. This is a rare occasion in which I preferred the movie.

Brilliant book! I found this so hard to put down and read this in 24 hours! A bittersweet storyline guaranteed to tug on your heartstrings

I read this way before the film. I remember the day I read this, I was off school sick with tonsillitis so began this in the morning. By the evening, I had completed the book.

I laughed and I cried... A LOT. I loved every second of reading this and even had to pick up a new copy because I read my old one so much that it began to fall apart. Cecelia Ahern has created such a superb and heart-warming story within this book.

This is a fantastic and emotional masterpiece and I cannot wait for the follow up of this story.

I highly recommend the book- but would honestly say the film does not do this masterpiece any justice at all.

Uma história bastante diferente do filme mas não deixar de amar.
É tocante a maneira como Gerry ajudou a Holly a ultrapassar a perda enorme que sofreu.

The thing about this book, and Cecilia Ahern in general, is that she writes her characters and their emotions so well, that you begin to experience what they are going through. Never before has a book had me laughing out loud and crying in the same sitting. I can't wait for the movie -- only hope it lives up to the book.
funny lighthearted

Grab the kleenex before you pick up this one. So sweet. This is my read at lunch book. It made me appreciate my husband. Very light quick read, despite the thickness.

it was really good! kinda lost me in the middle of the book but the end was so worth it!

I can never say enough about this book.  It’s a HEART GRABBER. I read it not long after I became a widow and I understood all the emotions Holly went through.
