A touching story about coping with grief and learning to move on with life, "PS, I love you" is a beautifully written book that I absolutely adored from start to finish.
Throughout the book, we see many changes in Holly's relationships with people, good and bad, and we see all her struggles, as well as her happy moments, as she slowly learns to deal with her grief. She finds herself in plenty of situations that we can relate to, and we are there with a tissue in hand to support her all the way through!
Overall an absolutely brilliant read, I truly felt connected to Holly, and I rooted for her the whole way through; I would definitely read it again!
For once, I say the MOVIE was better than the book. Maybe this is because the changes they made in the screenplay added quite a different dimension to the story. I kind of felt like I was just trying to finish it up...so I could go watch the film again and enjoy it more. The author was only 21 and this was her first novel...you could tell...and I guess I can't hold EVERYONE to the standard of Jane at 21!
I picked this because I enjoyed the movie, and while the book was cute, I didn't enjoy it as much as the film. Not something I'd read again, but not a terrible book.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were enjoyable, and I was rooting for them throughout this book. I've heard that it is going to be a movie, can't wait to see it. I definitely recommend this book to anyone, I thought it was going to be "chick-lit" (which is fine), but found something a little more!!
The book was okay but I feel as though there was no real touching emotion behind the characters and I simply read the book just to say I did.
It’s annoying that the book seems to cheapen the friendship between Holly and Daniel where as in the movie they are merely just read friends who try to be more in a cute affectionate way and realise that they are two people brought together by loneliness and hurt and will always be good friends.

The premise was good; as hard as the idea is of losing your spouse & going through grieving with the protagonist, I liked the story. The writing was so-so for me; it just felt very juvenile. I felt there were a lot of characters, some which were unnecessary to the story. I did listen to the last 3/4 on audio & enjoyed the narrator. I feel like this may be a rare instance where I like the movie better than the book. Probably, because, Gerard Butler.
